The Technical Officer plays a pivotal role in the Engineering Building, providing technical services and support to research groups. Key responsibilities include delivering hands-on support for practical classes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position that requires a degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will have expertise in process control, customer-facing laboratory support, and safety procedures.
* Support the delivery of technical services and facilitate biomedical engineering undergraduate classes
* Deliver training to facility users on equipment operation and general laboratory procedures
* Implement service improvements and contribute to a positive team culture
* Safely handle and manage laboratory environments, including biological and hazardous substances
* Work independently and as part of a team to resolve matters and establish relationships with customers and stakeholders
Requirements:
