Expressions of Interest – Consultant Radiation Oncologist – Icon Cancer Centre, NSW. Icon Cancer Centre is excited to invite applications from suitably qualified Radiation Oncologists to join our NSW team in Maitland. Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, evidence-based Radiation Oncology services (consultation, treatment, and all associated clinical care) to Icon Cancer Centre patients.
* Collaborate with a local multidisciplinary team and Icon's extensive doctor network, and work closely with clinical/operational teams at Maitland Private Hospital.
* Utilise the latest radiotherapy techniques and equipment available at Icon Maitland (e.g., VMAT, DIBH, SGRT, IGRT, stereotactic capabilities) and participate in local governance structures and quality initiatives.
* Engage with established referral networks and be supported by dedicated marketing, management, and business development teams.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Radiation Oncology and supported by Icon's extensive doctor network, the role focuses on high-quality service delivery across consultation, treatment, and associated care. Maitland Private Hospital is the site, serving residents of the greater Hunter region with a strong emphasis on patient-centred care.
About You

We are seeking a highly motivated radiation oncologist who collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure exemplary patient care at every stage of the patient journey. This role suits a clinician seeking a well-rounded, generalist skillset and the opportunity to care for a variety of patient presentations.
Mandatory Requirements
* Current Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
* Sub-speciality training in Radiation Oncology holding the Fellowship of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiation Oncologists (RANZCR)
* The right to live and work in Australia
* Compliance as a healthcare provider with credentialing and compliance requirements such as immunisation and insurance
