M365/Cloud Migration Technical Specialist to work on Multiple migration projects globally. Based in South Eastern Suburbs
M365 /Cloud Migration Technical Specialist is currently required for a global organisation to work on multiple global migration projects due to acquisition. You be focusing on Microsoft 365 migration, administration, cloud migrations, and secure network collaboration. This role is technically oriented toward Microsoft 365 but requires a solid understanding of how networking and firewalls function. You will regularly communicate with subsidiaries and third-party vendors to coordinate and align firewall configurations with security best practices. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as the role bridges technical operations and collaboration between global and regional IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Microsoft 365 Administration & Cloud Operations
* Migrate/Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune).
* Support M365 migration projects (on-premises to cloud or tenant-to-tenant).
* Manage user accounts, licensing, and permissions in line with Group IT standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory environments.
* Assist in applying and maintaining cloud governance, security, and compliance policies.
* Network & Security Collaboration
* Maintain familiarity with basic networking and firewall concepts.
* Communicate with subsidiaries and external vendors to plan and align firewall (FW) configurations.
* Ensure network and firewall changes follow global security guidelines.
* Support documentation and approval processes related to network or firewall updates.
* Collaborate with Group IT teams to ensure secure, reliable connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.
To be successful in this position you will be a highly experienced M365 Engineer who has demonstrated experience in working on M365 migration projects. You will also have a solid background in networking and firewalls, as well as Azure Active Directory, Intune and Exchange Online. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills are a must. A certificate in Microsoft 365 or Azure Administration would be an advantage.
