About this role
As a key player in this pivotal position, you will collaborate closely with transmission and distribution network service providers to support project developers and equipment manufacturers throughout the application, registration, and commissioning phases, ensuring a smooth transition to full operation.
The largest portfolio in the National Electricity Market (NEM), with 18.1 GW of projects in the NSW connections process.
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to building service-orientated relationships with key stakeholders are essential to success in this role.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a step-change improvement in our technical collaboration with clients and the energy industry, and analysis/reporting methods and tools.
* Propose and support regulatory changes to recognise and facilitate the integration of large-scale renewable energy projects into the Australian electricity market.
* Deliver high-level technical guidance and make informed decisions across key areas including performance standard assessments, power system stability, system strength remediation, registration and commissioning.
Requirements and qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or other discipline relevant to power systems analysis.
* Demonstrated experience in building and managing technical teams, shaping a proactive and ownership-based team culture.
* Proven expertise in overseeing generator connection processes, underpinned by deep experience in identifying and resolving performance challenges across both generator assets and broader power systems operations.
