Job Title: Contract Specialist
This is a critical role in our organization, responsible for the management of post-award contractual aspects of mining-related civil projects. The successful candidate will oversee subcontractor agreements, procurement processes, and cost forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project requirements.
* Support the procurement process for key plant, materials, and equipment, ensuring seamless integration into project timelines.
* Assess subcontractor variations, manage progress claims and EOTs, delay notices, bank guarantees, and certificates to maintain project efficiency.
* Undertake cost forecasting, tracking, and budgeting, negotiations, and dispute resolution to mitigate financial risks.
The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, with approximately 5-10 years' experience as a Contract Administrator in Australia. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, along with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
