Manager Business Services Job Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to lead business services in Geelong for an organisation focused on marine environmental protection.

">

The Australian Marine Oil Spill Centre is a not-for-profit subsidiary company of the Australian Institute of Petroleum, with a membership base consisting of high-profile energy companies in Australia. Our primary purpose is as an emergency response organisation, providing resources to industry and government as a result of an incident in Australia's marine environment.

We own and operate the industry's major spill response facilities, including stockpiles of spill response equipment and sub-surface intervention equipment. Our permanent staff of 16 are available 24/7, and we rely on a core group of industry experts of 80+ across multiple facilities located in Geelong, Fremantle, Exmouth and Broome.

In addition to our emergency response services, we provide training, advice, auditing, contingency planning and exercise management services to the industry. We also represent the industry across relevant forums and working groups, driving good response practises across national and international organisations.

">

This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a leadership role, providing core leadership to the Business Services Team and service delivery across the organisation. With a strong background in managing internal business operations, you will ensure the most efficient and highest quality of systems are being utilised by the organisation.

You will be a proven leader with the ability to lift the capability of teams while uplifting and maintaining culture within the organisation. You will have a diverse and highly capable background, with strong contract management and service delivery experience. You will have a desire to drive change and innovation through a small, enthusiastic team based across two locations.

Your goal will be to identify new opportunities for business improvement while enhancing administration practices. Having exposure to HR or IT services is advantageous.

* Proven leadership experience in business operations management

* Strong background in contract management and service delivery

* Diverse and highly capable background, with experience in HR or IT services an advantage

* Desire to identify new opportunities for business improvement

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
