The Role of a Retail Manager is to oversee the daily operations of a service station, ensuring profitability, cleanliness, safety, and exceptional customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Operational Oversight
o Oversight of day-to-day operations including fuel pumps, car wash, and convenience store.
o Monitoring and maintaining stock levels for fuel, groceries, and other products.
o Ensuring all equipment is operational and scheduling maintenance or repairs as required.
o Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards for the shop and forecourt.
* Team Supervision
o Recruitment, training, and supervision of staff members including cashiers and fuel attendants.
o Roster preparation and management of shift coverage.
o Staff performance reviews and ongoing support and coaching.
* Customer Experience
o Delivering high customer satisfaction through excellent service.
o Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
* Sales and Financial Management
o Monitoring daily sales, preparing reports, and managing cash handling procedures.
o Analysing sales trends and implementing strategies to meet revenue targets.
o Authorising discounts, refunds, and price changes as appropriate.
* Compliance and Safety
o Ensuring compliance with OH&S, fuel handling, and environmental safety regulations.
o Safety audits and risk assessments.
o Training staff in emergency response and safety protocols.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
* Familiarity with POS systems and stock control software.
