Associate Director, Procurement, Ongoing full-time, Sydney This role is a Clerk Grade 11/12, with a base salary for this role starting at $149,739 - $173,174 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director, Procurement to lead and manage our procurement function. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of end ‑ to ‑ end procurement services, including procurement planning, development, sourcing, contract management, and risk management. As the Associate Director, Procurement, you will ensure procurement activities achieve value for money, align with business objectives, and meet relevant government policies and frameworks. You will provide expert guidance across the organisation, drive best ‑ practice procurement processes, and support the effective management of key supplier relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of procurement within our organisation, influence senior level decision-making, and help build a high performing procurement culture. Some of the key responsibilities for the role include: Leading the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems and performance management frameworks for all procurement related activity to ensure a high level of professional practice and deliver compliant, effective and efficient procurement outcomes. Developing and implementing procurement plans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes. Partner with stakeholders to develop innovative supply strategies, establish supply arrangements, lead high-level negotiations and manage contracts to deliver value for money outcomes. Providing authoritative advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of the procurement function to encourage innovative practices, achieve delivery of business outcomes and support policy directions. About You You will bring demonstrated experience in managing procurement activities across a variety of goods, services, and levels of complexity. You will also have a strong understanding of government procurement policies and procedures. Holding CIPS accreditation is an essential requirement for this role.
