Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Leading Hand in the Manjimup Avocado Orchard. This is a permanent Full-time position, working closely with the Orchard Manager.
This role requires a strong mechanical background or knowledge, with excellent task management and coordination skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Maintaining orchard equipment, including basic vehicle maintenance, irrigation repairs, fencing, buildings, and mowing
* Supervising and delegating tasks to seasonal / casual work crews
* Irrigation scheduling using MAIT and fault assessment
* Ensuring the health and maintenance of trees, including tipping, pruning, and picking
* Managing computerised data entry and record keeping systems
* Ensuring compliance with WHS policies and procedures
