About the role
We are seeking an experienced Reception Accounts Officer to join our team. The position is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the College's administration and reception area. Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team are vital to this role.
Duties
As a Reception Accounts Officer, you will:
* Provide a high level of customer service to all customers including greeting all visitors professionally, answering general questions where possible and referring specific enquires to other staff where appropriate
* Receive incoming calls, take and distribute all messages efficiently to relevant staff, students and the College community
* Administration of sign in / sign out register of volunteers, supply staff and visitors to the College
* Receiving and handling enquiries, concerns etc. from staff, students, parents and visitors
* Mail inward and outward, sorting and delivery to staff
* Receipting of inward parcels, scanning invoices and distribution of parcels to departments
* Ordering of stationery and other office materials as required
* Data entry using the TASS computer finance/student administration system;
* Bookkeeping duties as required
* Provide general clerical and administrative assistance to the department
* General Journals as required
* Maintenance and reconciliation of various spreadsheets
* General daily receipting and banking under the direction of the Accounts Supervisor
* Checking and banking of canteen/retail daily takings
* Responsible for supporting cash control within the office area
* Preparation of financial records and files for audit in liaison with the Finance Manager
* Assist with the College archive system in accordance with Archive schedules
Skills and experience required
* Outstanding customer service skills;
* Well-developed communication skills;
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality at all times;
* Current Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card);
* Current First Aid Certificate (ability to acquire);
* Microsoft Office and database skills;
* Accurate cash handling skills;
