Rapid Crushing & Screening Contractors Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rapid Crushing Group Pty Ltd (Rapid), is a privately owned Australian company with over 46 years of experience in the business of providing service and support to the construction, quarrying, civil contracting, mining, and resources sectors.
Rapid are seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to support our Group Operations in Western Australia and Queensland with the potential to expand to further geographic locations based on operational requirements. The role will be based at our main office in Perth (Maddington), WA and you may be required to travel to various locations at times.
Reporting to the HSE and HR Manager you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver both operational and strategic HR/IR solutions and assist the company with personnel accessing sites across our operations. Your expertise will contribute to team and culture initiatives company wide.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Partnering: Partner with employees and line managers to provide timely contemporary advice on all HR/IR and performance related topics.
* Industrial & Employee Relations: Advise managers on relevant laws and regulations, awards, EBAs, workplace legislation, dispute and conflict resolution, performance improvement process and employee relations. Support enterprise bargaining as required.
* Recruitment & On-boarding: Conduct end-to-end recruitment, on-boarding and induction of new employees including the coordination of site mobilisations, (Flights and Accommodation).
* Liaise with labour hire agencies, negotiate agreements and be the main point of contact.
* Processing of Apprentices and Visa Applications as required.
* Human Resources System: Assist in the development and maintenance of HR/IR policies, procedures, and associated documents.
* Performance Management: Coach and support managers on performance planning and professional development.
* Learning & Development: Assist in identifying training needs and employee development where appropriate.
* Remuneration & Benefits: Provide payroll support and advice on award interpretation, pay clarification, and associated benefits.
* HR Projects: Participate in business projects as required.
* General HR Administration: Handle recruitment requisitions, new starter packs, employment contracts, and salary/wage increase notifications.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you'll need proven experience as a HR Advisor accompanied with a strong focus on industrial relations. To succeed in this role, you will have:
* 3-5 years of experience as a HR generalist in a mining/engineering/construction environment.
* Tertiary qualifications in human resources, management, or a related discipline.
* Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Enterprise Agreements, applicable codes of practice, and workplace policies.
* Recruitment and onboarding experience supporting enterprise bargaining.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, work autonomously as part of a team with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders.
* Proficient in MS Office suite.
* Payroll experience will be advantageous (Employment Hero).
