About The Role
As a Sales Account Executive in Perth, you'll bring a hands‑on approach, creative problem‑solving skills, natural business‑development and commercial acumen, and a competitive fire to help us partner with businesses across Western Australia.
Being a Zeller Account Executive is not hard selling. It's about building lasting relationships with business owners—from family‑run shops to multi‑location chains to large‑scale events—and championing their needs.
The role is hands‑on: you'll hit the streets to meet owners, build deep business insight, and position Zeller as the best solution to supercharge their cash flow.
This position is ideal for a developing Sales Account Executive or BDM who thrives on ambiguity, excitement from developing processes, and growing a healthy pipeline.
Role Responsibilities
* Prospect small, medium and large‑size businesses through outbound lead generation, door‑to‑door prospecting, cold calling/email, referrals and inbound leads.
* Build a deep understanding of pain points and requirements, then formulate the right Zeller solution.
* Meticulously manage leads and deals in HubSpot with outstanding hygiene and attention to detail.
* Own the complete sales cycle: planning, cold calling, qualifying, due diligence, and closing to exceed targets.
* Build the Zeller brand and business in WA—attending meetups, networking with associations and chambers of commerce, and generating a large sales pipeline.
* Translate complex merchant banking and services requirements into a succinct, simple and attractive solution.
* Deliver an outstanding first impression using storytelling, case studies, pitch decks and industry news.
* Develop commercially sound deals across diverse customer use cases and verticals.
* Stay up‑to‑date with SME, technology, fintech, payments, competitors and industry trends relevant to merchants.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Operations to relay customer feedback.
Qualifications And Experience
* 2‑3 years of closing sales experience with a proven track record of meeting quarterly goals.
* A genuine curiosity and passion about people and businesses.
* A strong commercial mindset and proven ability to manage and grow revenue.
* Tertiary education or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in prospecting, evaluating interest, qualifying, demonstrating value, handling objections and negotiating.
* Self‑motivated and able to work independently or remotely.
* A competitive fire and desire to win.
* Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
* Agile, ambitious, and driven to excel.
* Resilience and comfort with ambiguity.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle many tasks and deadlines.
* An entrepreneurial spirit.
* Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM, Google Suite, and Microsoft Suite.
