Manly Beach Newly Created Role Competitve Salary About the Role Our client is setting up a new law firm and is looking for an experienced Legal Practice Manager who can help get the new firm off the ground and thereafter be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the office (10-12 staff) in beautiful Manly beach. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the operational performance of the firm including practice management systems, executive support to the Managing Partners and liaison with key stakeholders. This position is ideal for a proactive "all-rounder" who is experienced in a legal environment and who enjoys being the 'Captain of the Ship' The office is truly unique with a full kitchen, self-contained end of trip facilities, entertaining courtyard and all within two minutes' walk from Manly wharf. Key Responsibilities Practice Management & Operations Hands on day-to-day operations of the firm Manage and optimise workflows within practice management systems and software, including matter setup, precedents, automation and reporting Create and improve office systems, policies and procedures Troubleshoot operational and IT issues as they arise Monitor file management standards and ensure best practice usage Oversee facilities management, supplier relationships and service contracts Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional obligations Open and close matters Financial Management Monitor WIP, disbursements and debtor management Trust and office accounting / invoicing Time recording and billings Managing and processing payroll Developing and overseeing office budgets and expenditure Executive Assistance & Administrative Support Provide administrative support to the Managing Partners Manage calendars, meetings and scheduling Act as a key liaison between Partners, staff and external stakeholders Reception and general office administration Oversee office and kitchen supplies Manage IT coordination, liaising with external providers Support marketing initiatives and client engagement activities About You Previous experience as a Practice Manager or Office Manager within a law firm Working knowledge of practice management software, including billing and reporting Exposure to WIP management and trust accounting requirements Demonstrated ability to implement or improve systems and processes within a legal practice High level of discretion and professionalism Strong financial literacy and analytical capability Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities and wear multiple hats What they Offer A key operational role within a modern legal practice Opportunity to drive efficiency through technology and process improvement Supportive and collaborative team environment Flexibility with 2 days work from home Please APPLY here or email karolina@eliasrecruitment.com
