The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to lead prototype engagements, from discovery through the deployment of a commercially ready process used for new technology deployments within AWS data centers in APAC.
Key job responsibilities
* Write effective project charters based on business requirements for medium to large scale projects.
* Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management, design engineers, operational deployment teams) to define requirements and processes.
* Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate trade‐offs if needed.
* Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
* End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
* Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
* Develop and implement scalable, data‐driven process improvement/automated solutions.
* Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
* Meet/exceed Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.
Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
* Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e., network, data center, hardware, software).
* Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
* Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.).
* Writes clear and detailed functional specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
* Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
* Experience in a fast‐paced, high‐tech company, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and reacting with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
