Nightshift Road Maintenance Supervisor – VRMC

Key Responsibilities
* Lead nightly pre‐start and supervise the nightly onsite work of operations and maintenance workers, sub‐contractors and apprentices.
* Inspect the daily work to ensure it is undertaken to documented procedures and in accordance with quality standards.
* Supply relevant quality assurance and operations documentation for management to support informed decision making.
* Monitor and control the use of materials and equipment to minimise unnecessary waste and authorise the procurement of supplies.
* Carry out regular site inspections to ensure all areas comply with relevant health and safety standards, taking immediate action as required to mitigate potential risks to staff.
* Support team members through training and feedback to encourage and develop internal capabilities.
* Manage the after‐hours call‐out roster to ensure 24/7 network coverage.
About You
* 5+ years experience in a field supervisory or site operations role.
* Prior experience in managing field crews is essential.
* Freeway and road network maintenance experience preferred.
* Traffic management experience and relevant tickets are advantageous.
* Well‐developed communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* OH&S and safety certifications are highly regarded.
* Asphalt/Flocon experience preferred but not essential.
