About The Role
The purpose of the Eating Disorder Clinician is to support the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for people with eating disorders (2021 - 2025) which aims to build and strengthen pathways to care, drive the implementation of evidence-based practice, service improvement and innovation and build capacity and capability within the NSW Health workforce. The role is based within Network Mental Health services and is part of a district wide eating disorder team. Working with key stakeholders internally and external service partners such as primary care and non-Government organisations, the role will provide eating disorder specific consultation liaison and capacity building to Mental health services, Medical services, Dietetic services and other service partners; intensive short term care coordination for people with eating disorders who require a multi-systemic collaborative care approach including working with carers; delivery of innovative evidence–based intervention approaches in individual or group format as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision. This is a permanent part time role based in Port Macquarie.
About You
As this role is a Multi-Disciplinary role you will need to either hold a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience or a bachelor\'s degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the AASW or must hold qualifications recognised with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia or be currently registered as a Psychologist with APHRA. Do you have demonstrated extensive clinical skills and substantial experience in the delivery of eating disorders and the challenges people with eating disorders face regarding access to care along with proven advanced communication skills both written and oral, including the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels and demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.
