About The Opportunity
The Dietetics Department at Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dedicated Renal Dietitian to join our dynamic and supportive team. As part of the Liverpool Renal Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred nutrition care to individuals undergoing dialysis. What You’ll Do
- Provide expert nutritional assessment and care to patients on dialysis across the Liverpool Renal Service.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally responsive, patient-centred dietetic services.
- Develop and implement tailored nutrition plans that reflect the unique needs of our community.
- Mentor and supervise junior dietitians, supporting their growth and development.
- Lead and contribute to service innovation through quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and research.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. - Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics as recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Demonstrated relevant clinical experience, including advanced practice skills in managing complex caseloads, alongside a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence‑based practice.
- Experience and knowledge in service development and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability in clinical supervision of students and/or staff.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, including group education skills, alongside strong computer proficiency (including CBORD), with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team and effectively engage with stakeholders.
