Tackling Indigenous Smoking Team Support Officer
This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that aims to reduce smoking rates in Aboriginal communities and promote smoke-free spaces.
You will work collaboratively with the team leader and other public health staff to deliver smoking prevention and cessation campaigns, information sessions, and community events. You will help develop respectful relationships with Barkly Region communities and uphold the vision, mission, and priorities of the organisation.
* Deliver smoking prevention and cessation campaigns, information sessions, and community events.
* Develop respectful relationships with Barkly Region communities.
* Uphold the vision, mission, and priorities of the organization.
* Ensure all program materials are up-to-date, appropriate, relevant, and engaging to the target audience.
* Conduct administrative duties as directed.
* Document and organize electronic client data records and registers.
* Contribute to a culturally safe working environment.
* Represent the TIS Program when collaborating with key stakeholders.
* Work within the limits of confidentiality and privacy.
* Travel to remote communities to deliver the TIS Program.
* Participate in staff training and development.
