CASUAL RECEPTIONIST - Medical Centre.
Must have a professional manner with good work ethic, time management skills and meticulous attention to detail, with an eagerness to learn new skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must communicate effectively and be able to manage a large volume of phone calls.
Preferably seeking someone with previous experience in a Medical Centre setting, although not essential. Experience with Best Practice desirable.
Key Responsibilities.
Greet patients and other callers at the practice in a courteous and efficient manner.
To answer the telephone promptly and courteously.
To make appointments for patients following set procedures.
Attend to account queries if possible or refer problem to the Practice Manager.
Liaise with Specialists, Hospital staff, Pharmacists and all other visitors to the Practice in a professional manner.
Exercise confidentiality regarding patient care and all aspects of the practice.
Maintain the reception area in a tidy and welcoming manner.
Scanning and/or filing and thorough documentation of patient correspondence, results etc.
Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary.
Work cooperatively and independently.
Availability to cover shifts, when necessary, due to leave, sickness etc.
Must be able to work on your own as once you are trained, you will be required to Work alone for 2-4 hour periods.
