What you'll do

The Student Support Advisor is central to creating a welcoming and supportive environment within the Hub. In this role, you will guide and onboard new students, helping to foster a strong sense of belonging. Acting as a connector and problem-solver, you will work alongside students to provide encouragement and support throughout their learning journey. You will also coordinate and facilitate educational programs, workshops, and events that promote participation and community engagement, while managing marketing and communications for the Hub, including web content, social media, and other promotional activities.

What will help you succeed

To thrive in this role, it is essential that you hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field and demonstrate experience in a student support role in an educational environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training as well as having:

* A strong background in education, educational support, and supporting diverse student cohorts.
* Excellent cultural competency, especially within diverse and multilingual communities.
* Proven experience building and maintaining productive relationships and community stakeholder engagement.
* Proven ability to support marketing and communications initiatives, including content creation, social media management, and development of promotional materials.

Term: Full-time fixed-term appointment (36 hours/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $108,559 to $117,574 pa (includes salary range of $91,553 to $99,155 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
