About the role
To provide quality advice and support to a diverse client base in relation to library services within West Moreton Health. The Librarian will operate and efficiently maintain established library systems and procedures associated with the management, utilisation, maintenance and delivery of information resources to clients.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Commitment to client service, with effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to providing excellent customer service and assist clients to access appropriate resources.
* Knowledge of a range of library services, including reference services, client education, collection management and cataloguing.
* Experience in the use of computerised Library Information Management Systems, Internet, and health related on‑line databases.
* Understanding of, or the ability to rapidly acquire and apply knowledge of, the needs and issues of health care, clinical education and training, and health care research in relation to the provision of library services.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, support team processes, establish work priorities, time manage workflow and work successfully as part of a team.
Mandatory Requirements
* Mandatory possession of a tertiary qualification in Information Management / Librarianship which provides eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or an agreed equivalent.
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
