About Us Our client is one of the leading engineering and manufacturing organisation known for its high-quality delivery in the Defence and Aerospace sectors.
Due to ongoing project growth, they are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful end-to-end delivery of customer projects.
About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional with a background in mechanical or manufacturing environments, particularly in ERP-based batch production.
If you're a less experienced applicant but eager to grow, you may also be considered for a Project Coordinator position.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communications around product specs, timelines, quality, pricing, and non-conformances.
Lead contract reviews upon project initiation to ensure clear understanding of deliverables and terms.
Establish and maintain the Master Drawing Register (MDR) to align with contract standards.
Raise and manage sales orders in the company's ERP system.
Coordinate and support production and quality teams to maintain project momentum.
Provide regular progress reports to key stakeholders.
Work closely with operations to manage and adjust schedules as needed.
Monitor and manage variations, ensuring re-costing where applicable.
Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification or trade background in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines.
Proven experience in project management within a batch manufacturing and ERP environment.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and data interpretation.
Knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies, including risk management and milestone planning.
Confident communicator with the ability to lead across teams and clients.
Understanding of negotiation and bid protocols is highly desirable.
Exposure to the Defence industry and quality standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100) will be highly regarded.
