The Role
The Deputy Principal assumes a pivotal role, working closely with the Principal and the administrative team to shape the school\'s identity. Educational leadership is a key responsibility, involving the active development and promotion of the school\'s values, ethos, and priorities. The ideal applicant champions a collaborative approach, encouraging staff, volunteers and community members to actively share ownership of the school\'s vision and goals. This collaborative ethos extends to change management, where the Deputy Principal strategically facilitates the acceptance of change and identifies opportunities for improved service delivery.
Overseeing school operations, the Deputy Principal is instrumental in ensuring the effective operation of the school. This includes the delivery of the School Plan through decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of systems that align with the school\'s overarching objectives. Additionally, the Deputy Principal provides strategic direction for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in professional performance. The Deputy Principal also plays a vital role in the daily management of staff and student well-being, potentially overseeing timetabling responsibilities.
Overall, the Deputy Principal serves as a key figure for educational leadership and operational effectiveness within the school. This is supported through coaching with Shaping Minds. Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education\'s Screening Unit before you start.
