**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for driving innovative designs in roll forming and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, experience with roll forming, and excellent collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing and developing roll forming machinery and related equipment
* Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings (AutoCAD Inventor preferred)
* Applying FEA and engineering principles to ensure robust, efficient designs
* Managing projects from concept design through to manufacture and delivery
* Liaising with production, fabrication, and procurement teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
* Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Australian Standards, and internal quality processes
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across design and manufacturing
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience)
* Proven roll forming design experience (essential)
* Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (AutoCAD Inventor preferred) and FEA software
* Solid knowledge of Australian engineering standards and regulatory requirements
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* High level of organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
