Do you have a passion for gymnastics and inspiring others? Our Gymnastics Department is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated coaches to deliver fun and engaging classes for children (5–18 years). Classified as Senior Gymnastics Coach under our Enterprise Agreement, role is all about fostering physical development, confidence, and enjoyment in a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Casual position available at PCYC Auburn -$38.96 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
- Includes Saturdays shifts – Weekend Penalty rates apply
- Ability to work across other metro clubs
What you’ll do:
- Lead or assist with recreational gymnastics classes for children.
- Teach age-appropriate skills using protected progressions and techniques.
- Deliver lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and program goals.
- Ensure classes run smoothly, safely, and on time.
- Set up before classes, and pack down after class.
- Promote a safe and positive training environment, following all club policies on injury management, supervision, and child safety.
- Build positive relationships with gymnasts and their families.
- Communicate with Program Coordinators regarding concerns, injuries, or incidents.
- Stay current by attending training, meetings, and maintaining required qualifications (First Aid, CPR, and Gymnastics Australia accreditation).
- Support program delivery with administrative or other tasks as needed.
