Job Overview: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering optimised and scalable SQL solutions, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to provide technical leadership within a dynamic, Agile environment. You will be responsible for the quality, performance, and functionality of SQL-based solutions that support critical business operations and analytics. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications. Work closely with the data modelling team to support operational and analytical database needs. Implement performance tuning strategies and scalable database architectures for large-scale datasets. Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Oversee deployments through Microsoft DevOps and manage CI/CD pipelines. Conduct code reviews, maintain source control using Git, and ensure adherence to coding standards. Maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, and security. Contribute to Agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, reviews, and continuous feedback cycles. Required Experience & Skills: 7 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer. Advanced proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, SSM, Microsoft DevOps, CI/CD tools, Git. In-depth understanding of Database architecture and data warehousing, indexing, query optimisation, and performance tuning Experience working with large and complex datasets. Skilled in data modelling concepts and collaborating with data architecture teams. Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban). Knowledge of SDLC, change management, and deployment best practices. Desirable Experience: Exposure to data analytics or data science initiatives. Hands-on experience with exploratory data analysis and data insights generation. Previous collaboration within cross-functional teams including business analysts and data modellers. Key Attributes: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
