Print Production Manager – 18 Month Contract, Canberra
Overview
This position is based in Canberra, ACT and is positioned within the print unit of one of Australia's largest Government Agencies. As the print production manager, you will have ownership of all print production jobs processed, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met. The role requires a minimum of 5 years print production experience, including liaising with outsourced printing suppliers. To be successful in this role you will be able to work autonomously with the ability to navigate online ordering systems, generate reporting and manage relationships and production KPI's with external suppliers.
As this role will be part of a small team, in addition to the required technical skills, a personable, professional and client focused individual would be valued. The role is for an initial 18-month contract position with the potential for longer tenure.
Your experience has predominately been in print production and Account Management, however may include signage, local area marketing, brand management and digital media. This person will hit the ground running and have sufficient technical expertise to publish and review print quotes, monitor inventory levels, manage any warehousing and distribution requirements and provide reporting where required. Experience with a digital asset management system would be highly valued.

Your main duties will include:
· Being the primary member of the onsite print management unit, providing exceptional service to internal client stakeholders;
· Understanding print job requirements and recommending production techniques and suppliers;
· Utilising an online quote and job management system to request and review quotes from external suppliers;
· Manage inventory levels, monitor reports and ensure processes and procedures for replenishment are followed;
· Liaise with graphic design teams, external warehouse, internal clients and external suppliers
· Manage the end-to-end workflow of all print production jobs and monitor supplier performance and quality assurance of goods;
· Ensure all production targets and KPI's are met
Pre-Requisites:
· A minimum of 5 years experience in the printing industry
· Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
· Ability to work to strict deadlines
· A thorough knowledge of print production methods, pricing and distribution
· Must be able to work autonomously
· Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft Office programs
· A Police Employment check will need to have been completed prior to commencement
