**About Community Brain Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service**
The Community Brain Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (CBDATS) is state-wide mobile consultative and treatment service for consumers with dual diagnoses of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative disease and associated mental illness. CBDATS has a supportive and collaborative team culture, based on the foundations of the Austin Health values. You will be supported by a dedicated and highly skilled clinical team.
**About the role**
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will be working with a team of supportive and skilled team members to provide clinical expertise and case consultations to external service providers, consumers, families and/or carers referred to the service. You will be responsible for coordinating assessments and follow up on a caseload of clients, as well as providing discipline-specific expertise to the multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders.
A regular day will see you:
- Work as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team seeing clients in a range of settings, both in person and via telehealth.
- Coordinate and contribute to assessment of clients with complex neuropsychiatric presentations across both metropolitan and regional areas.
- Conduct regular consultation and education to consumers and stakeholders regarding the management of neurobehavioral and psychiatric symptoms.
- Scope for the provision of neuropsychological assessment and counselling, as well as behavioural assessment, development of positive behaviour support plans and other short-term therapeutic interventions
- Participate in clinical intake/triage duties
**About you**
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- A minimum of a Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and current registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with area of practice endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.
- A minimum of 2 years post-graduate qualification experience as a fully registered psychologist.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A valid Victorian driver's licence
