We are seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our team at Berrinba, supporting the efficient, safe, and compliant movement of products to our customers.
About the Role
The Transport Allocator is responsible for coordinating daily road transport activities to ensure deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with all legislative and Manildra Group requirements.
This role requires strong planning, communication, and problem‐solving skills, along with a high level of attention to detail and a strong safety focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Allocate appropriate transport for daily customer deliveries (internal and external)
* Process and manage deliveries using SAP and Detrack
* Ensure finished goods transport is accurately allocated and system‐processed
* Monitor daily delivery completion and finalise all required documentation
* Liaise with drivers to manage delivery issues and escalate where required
* Plan delivery runs in line with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility obligations
* Reconcile transport invoices and resolve any discrepancies
* Manage transport non‐conformances and ensure corrective actions are completed
* Coordinate online inductions for transport carriers and drivers
* Ensure compliance with Manildra Group safety policies and procedures
* Support site and national transport management with additional duties as required
About You
You will bring:
* Proven experience in transport and logistics, particularly road allocation
* Strong understanding of road transport legislation and compliance
* Experience with SAP (highly regarded)
* Ability to manage transport providers and address safety or non‐compliance issues
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* A proactive, team‐focused approach and strong work ethic
* Confidence working in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environment
