The Role Karratha SHS is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educational leader to join the school's senior leadership team as Program Coordinator – Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Having the capacity to maintain and establish partnerships with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), business and other organisations to further opportunities for our students is important.
The VET Coordinator should bring with them a passion for student achievement, strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to provide the panel with detailed examples of working with and developing strong partnerships with students, stakeholders and staff in relation to VET, secondary pathways and post school destinations.
The Program Coordinator – VET will have the opportunity to lead, manage, and plan all aspects of the school's VET, workplace learning, university enabling programs, endorsed programs and other training-related curriculum programs in collaboration with the Deputy Principal and the VET and Careers Team.
The successful applicant should place high emphasis on establishing and maintaining parent partnerships as you will be required to communicate with parents regularly throughout the year.
We are seeking a highly organised person who has good communication skills, is solution focussed and wants to contribute to the entire school community.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the ideal applicant will have recent experience leading staff within a VET team.
The ability to manage and oversee workplace learning is highly desirable.
The applicant will be required to provide curriculum leadership in VET and work collaboratively with the Executive Team and Senior School Team to achieve positive student outcomes across the school and into the future.
