About the role
The administration officer within Paediatric Outpatients and Children's Sunshine Ward is required to respond to general customer inquiries and provide timely and accurate information and assistance to clients and staff. The administration officer is to assist in the facilitation of service delivery in the hospital settings.
About you
- Demonstrated effective customer-focused service within a confidential working environment.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively interact and negotiate with all levels of staff and the public in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member with a high level of autonomy to manage daily workloads and to contribute towards achieving the goals of the Health Service.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
