OEM-specific training and ongoing skills development Strong safety culture and well-structured maintenance systems Supportive leadership and experienced site teams Consistent workflow across stable underground operations in North QLD and nationwide The Role Based in North QLD, this role focuses on specialised field service support, ensuring equipment is maintained, reliable, and operating efficiently. Attend breakdowns, scheduled servicing, and preventative maintenance (PM) tasks Diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical faults Perform on-site rebuilds and major component replacements Occasional workshop duties including component overhauls and structural repairs Work on underground drills, loaders, haul trucks, and auxiliary mobile plant FIFO Roster & Hours This role offers flexible FIFO options to suit different lifestyles, with accommodation and travel fully arranged. Choose from 2:2 or 8:6 FIFO roster with 12-hour shifts FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns Accommodation provided on or near site Opportunity to work within a well-established underground mining hub, with both existing and upcoming projects Your Skills & Experience This role will suit tradespeople with a solid mechanical background who are keen to work underground and develop specialist OEM skills. Ideally, you will have: Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Underground mining and/or heavy earthmoving experience Strong fault-finding and hands-on maintenance skills A safety-first mindset, with pride in quality of work and communication Willingness to work FIFO rosters and commit to long-term career progression Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and national police check Next Steps This is a strong opportunity to step into an underground role and build a long-term career in hard rock mining.
