The role of a pharmacy assistant is to provide support to pharmacists in the preparation, distribution and dispensing of pharmaceuticals. This includes preparing medicines for patients, operating within the limitations and boundaries of the role.
Responsibilities include assisting with inventory management, collating and maintaining pharmacy data and ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
To be successful in this position, applicants will require a Certificate III in Pharmacy Assisting (SIR30116 or HLT37115), a Certificate of Competency in 'Maintain Pharmaceutical Imprest' module and evidence of vaccination against certain diseases.
