Overview
We are looking for a new member to join our team. This is a full-time position based in the western suburbs.
Responsibilities
* Meat selection and preparation for sale and supply by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size ordered
* Slicing, dicing and portion cutting
* Selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods
* Operating machines such as bandsaw and sausage filling machine, to grind, mix, mince, tenderize meat and making sausages
* Making seasoning and curing special cuts
* Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to OH&S, including beginning of day set-up and end of day clean-up
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications required (AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent)
* Minimum 12 months relevant work experience
* Sound cutting skills, for example, ability to cleanly bone all base and cuts down to muscle primal and knowledge of all variety of meat products and stock control procedures
* Excellent communication and customer service
* Precision and attention to detail
* Reliable and self-motivated
* Strong equipment safety knowledge
