We now have a great opportunity for a Business Manager within our Microsoft Cloud business. As the Business Manager, you will be personally accountable for the success or failure of Tech Data’s business performance for Microsoft. This is a key management role within Tech Data and you will have direct line management of multiple sellers, and dotted line responsibility for various resources across marketing, services, support and operations. Key Responsibilities These can be summarised as follows: understands the strategy, plans and priorities of Microsoft and turns that into a Tech Data business plan and profit maximisation strategy. gives clear direction to the sales, marketing and pre-sales teams about what to do and how to succeed with the Microsoft. uses all data sources to manage performance to Key Performance Indicators. follows the “what? so what? now what?” mantra and runs forward looking QBRs and all vendor operational interlocks. Actively seeks out ways to boost sales and grow share of wallet. Engages with Tech Data Asia Pacific Japan and global teams to bring proven innovations to AU/ NZ. Builds strong personal relationships across Microsoft and with the key partners. While responsible for revenue outcomes, this role is responsible for managing a group of Cloud technologies and has the overarching relationship with Microsoft. Knowledge, Skills and Experience To be successful for his role, you will need the following: Bachelor’s Degree qualification would be preferred. Minimum High School certificate. Diploma in IT or Cloud / related field would be highly regarded. Minimum 6 years’ experience within IT distribution as a Channel Sales Manager or working as a high performing outbound Business Development Manager with a customer service orientation. Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring people and providing leadership and guidance. Understanding of how to manage a Vendor level P&L, with support from the Finance team. Appropriate vendor product sales certifications. A good understanding of the channel business and existing reseller partner relationships in Australia or New Zealand.
