What we're looking for
We're seeking a passionate community development professional who thrives in relationship‐driven, purpose‐focused work. You'll bring experience designing and delivering community programs, events and initiatives that respond to local needs, along with a strong understanding of wellbeing, resilience and social equity principles. You're confident engaging with diverse communities, building cross‐sector partnerships and facilitating workshops, consultations and community engagement activities. You're organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects, sometimes simultaneously, with strong research, planning and reporting skills. Experience in grant writing and administration is highly valued. Most importantly, you'll be someone who communicates clearly, works collaboratively, and is committed to creating positive and lasting community outcomes.
What you'll be doing
* Designing, delivering and evaluating community development and wellbeing programs, initiatives and events.
* Building and maintaining effective partnerships across government, non‐government, community and industry sectors.
* Conducting community engagement activities, including workshops, forums, surveys and consultations.
* Undertaking research, benchmarking and data analysis to inform program design and evidence‐based decision‐making.
* Developing processes to measure and monitor wellbeing, quality of life and resilience indicators.
* Identifying and administering external funding and grant opportunities.
* Coordinating and drafting grant applications, reports and acquittals.
* Managing operational logistics such as contractor coordination, budget planning and project timelines.
* Ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with Council policies and procedures.
* Providing excellent customer service and responding to community enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Supporting broader community development outcomes across a diverse range of groups and locations as required.
