The Opportunity
We have a large pipeline of upcoming projects and are expanding our team. JAC Civil is seeking an experienced Foreman / Supervisor with a background in the civil construction industry for a permanent, full time or casual role. About the Role
Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate civil construction activities, ensuring road works and related projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
* Lead and mentor site crews, promoting teamwork and a positive safety culture
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to align daily operations with project timelines and quality standards
* Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and implement solutions to meet production goals and targets
* Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
* Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation using digital tools
* Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and procurement processes
* Operate plant and machinery as required (holding current licences/competencies)
Key Requirements
* Demonstrated experience supervising civil construction projects, particularly road works, with a minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role
* Proven ability to organise, plan, and deliver projects to meet production goals and quality standards
* Strong skills in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications and estimating resources
* Competency in using computer tablets for site management and reporting tasks
* Current QLD driver's licence is required advantageous but not essential)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent JACC professionally to clients and stakeholders
* Commitment to upholding and implementing high safety and environmental standards
* Ability to role model and integrate organisational values and behaviours within your team
* Willingness to mentor, share knowledge, and participate in training and meetings
* Physically fit and able to participate in manual handling and site activities as required
* Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety
