Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities.
* Establish and maintain a register for scheduled plant and equipment servicing.
* Oversee maintenance programs for all service systems that form part of the building infrastructure.
* Ensure appropriate selection, scheduling and supervision of contractor services provided.
* Implement suitable risk management practices ensuring a safe working environment.
* Provide proactive support to building management systems minimising disruption to laboratory production during breakdowns and maintenance of services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate project activities between business lines ensuring clear scope, deliverables, execution and review.
* Assist business lines in the optimisation of laboratory processes while ensuring required quality standards are met.
* Establish leadership and control of site logistics ensuring a structured process is followed for all goods/services into and out of the facility.
* Participate in the development of business line operating goals and objectives recommending methods and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
* Ensure clearly defined emergency protocols are in place to minimise loss to personnel, process and property.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Science, Chemistry or Engineering.
* Significant experience of multi-business labs/facility practices with significant chemical processes.
* Desirable experience in Environmental Management Systems.
* Experience in developing a sustainable safety culture within laboratories or facilities.
* Proven management experience.
