Tagai State College in the beautiful Torres Strait is seeking a dynamic teaching Head of Campus for Warraber Campus. This permanent position starts Term 3 2026.

Living on Warraber Island
Warraber Island (Sue Island) is in the Vigilant Channel, a coral cay with abundant traditional foods such as wongai and coconuts, and fish, turtles and dugong in surrounding waters and coral reefs.
The people of Warraber Island are part of the Kulkalaig of the Central Islands of Torres Strait, including Nagi. Life on the island remains very traditional and includes hunting, dancing and feasts.
Warraber Campus
First opened in January 1985, the campus became part of Tagai State College in 2007. It is one of the 16 primary campuses that span 48,000 square kilometres of ocean in the Torres Strait. The current enrolment is approximately 56 students, ranging from Kindergarten to Year 6, and most have English as an additional language.
Tagai State College provides a high level of support to leaders through a support team of experienced leaders and educators.

Qualifications and Experience
The suitable applicant must demonstrate capability to meet the accountabilities of a quality teacher and has demonstrated leadership capability to lead a campus.
