We’re partnering with a large, complex enterprise organisation seeking an experienced Security Architect to support major project delivery initiatives through formal security architecture assessments and assurance activities. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role working closely with project teams to ensure security requirements are embedded early and effectively across cloud, infrastructure, network and application domains. Please note that this role requires candidates that are ABN Contractors, and Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents The Role You’ll provide security architecture consulting across multiple projects, reviewing end-to-end solution designs and assessing alignment to established security standards and best practice. Key responsibilities include: Conducting formal security architecture assessments across complex solution designs (including vendor and third-party components) Reviewing project documentation against security standards, policies and control baselines Identifying security gaps, risks and non-compliance issues Producing structured Security Architecture Assessment Reports with clear, actionable guidance Engaging stakeholders early in the design lifecycle to influence secure outcomes Supporting broader cyber assurance activities across the organisation What You’ll Bring Strong grounding in cyber security principles, frameworks, standards and risk assessment Demonstrated experience in security architecture — including requirements definition, control design and formal assessment Hands-on public cloud security experience across Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) Solid understanding of infrastructure and network security Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD environments and application security considerations Ability to clearly articulate technical risk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience & Background 5 years’ experience in security architecture roles within large, complex enterprise environments CISSP Qualification or similar Experience balancing solution consulting with formal security assurance activities Formal qualification in cyber security, IT or equivalent practical experience Next Steps If this sounds like your kind of challenge, I’d love to chat!
