**Pricing Analyst (Strategy)**
Helping customers get their 'Woolies worth' is at the heart of what we do at Woolworths. Together with our supplier partners, we invest billions of dollars each year in Customer Value initiatives (including our Everyday Low Price, Promotions, Below the Line and shelf price programs). Ensuring we help customers find value where it matters most for them. This is one of the largest recurring investments we make across the Woolworths Group.
**About the Role**
The Pricing Analyst (Strategy) will help define and reshape the future of Customer Value delivery in Australia, delivered in collaboration with a cross-functional team across Buying, Pricing, WooliesX and Wiq. Ultimately ensuring that our Customer Value strategy resonates with Customers, Team & Suppliers, and drives improved traffic, engagement and customer NPS, across all supermarkets channels.
The role presents an opportunity to be a part of an ever-changing & evolving environment, working side by side with a team of analysts/associates who pride themselves on being trusted business partners to a wide group of stakeholders and are strongly connected to the development and delivery of the strategic direction of the business. This is a high impact role with high impact initiatives and projects, that are directly visible for the executive committee / C-Suite
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Framing & structuring problems, gathering and analysing complex data, and developing insights and recommendations to support the Pricing team's mandate within the business
- Supporting the development of high quality, integrated strategic plans and initiatives, that deliver meaningful & tailored value for Customers across all of our pricing and promotions pillars
- Injecting strategic and innovative thinking into solving the issues that the business faces
- Delivering this value creation in strong collaboration with Buying teams, Pricing pillar leaders and across all levels of leadership
- Establishing and working within dynamic parameters to support the business and its objectives within tight timeframes
- Supporting best practice development and capability sharing across the broader Woolworths Group ecosystem, as a centre of Customer Value excellence for the group
**About You**
You are a highly motivated, analytical strategy professional, who is looking to accelerate your development journey and gain critical, broader-thinking business experience. You have experience developing & implementing integrated customer & commercial strategies with a strong, demonstrated affinity for structured problem solving, balanced with a pragmatic, outcomes focused mindset. You thrive in a fast paced retail environment and are comfortable with balancing longer term strategic imperatives with day to day, tactical needs of a buying organisation.
Delivering outstanding experiences for both our internal buying teams and supplier partners, you have demonstrated Pricing Strategy & commercial transformation experience, which will enable you to drive fit for purpose business outcomes.
You maintain a local market and global perspective on emerging trends, and will bring to the role a demonstrated experience supporting the development and coaching of others in their existing roles as well as future career aspirations. You strive to maintain a competitive edge, and pride yourself on your strong influencing skills which enable you to influence teams to drive and adopt innovation and commercial outcomes, balancing long & short term value delivery.
Key skills, attributes and desirable experience includes:
- 3+ years of experience in a strategy consultancy or corporate strategy team; pricing and/or retail experience would be advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen & data analytics skills (a focus on Pricing will be beneficial but not mandatory) who is looking to take on a new challenge
- Able to prioritise, work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders through effective work planning & structured communication
- Consumer market experience and retail pricing Strategy & commercial transformation experience advantageous
- Superb written and oral communication and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with middle and senior management stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills coupled with strong presentation & storytelling skills. Ideally, you are competent with ETL solutions like SQL, BigQuery, Tableau
