As a Trainee Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Council's HR, Work Health & Safety, training and development, and administrative functions.
You'll work closely with various teams and assist in the delivery of key services that contribute to the development and wellbeing of Council staff.
Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Officer, you will:
Assist in delivering HR, WHS, training & development, and administrative functions across Council.
Assist in administration functions of workers compensation and return to work tasks.
Provide support to staff with training and development needs.
Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, reports, and correspondence.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new systems of work.
Maintain and update registers, records, and Council documentation.
Assist with Council's statutory reporting and policy development.
Customer Service tasks including overflow calls and front desk duties
Ensure compliance with safe work practices and report hazards.
Who We're Looking For

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, databases).

Current driver's licence or the ability to obtain one shortly
A strong work ethic and positive attitude toward learning
Approachable demeanour and willingness to help others
