About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Aircraft Life Support (ALS) Fitter Training Instructor to join the Aerospace business on the Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project based in Wagga, New South Wales. The role is permanent full‐time.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate, deliver, and develop training in Initial Employment Training and Post Initial Employment Training.
- Focus on Aircraft Life Support (ALS) and Core Aeroskills.
- Supervise within a simulated working environment.
- Maintain and service ALS equipment.
- Provide specialised skills and advice to support Aviation Technical Training.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the customer, government and industry partners.
- Guide and mentor Defence trainees in best practice within the aviation environment.
About You
- Demonstrated industry experience as an Aircraft Life Support Fitter, qualified Aviation Maintenance Engineer, preferably with extensive experience within the Defence Aviation Safety Environment.
- Current Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing or Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or technical training instructor experience (highly regarded).
- Willingness and commitment to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) if not already held.
Clearances
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable; nationality may be a factor in determining suitability.
