About the Role
As the Assistant Accountant at Fire Equipment Services (FES), your immediate focus is to assist with the management of high-volume financial processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and associated reports.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial compliance with contractual arrangements between FES and stakeholders.
Naturally, you will be able to effectively problem solve financial queries, and with your practised attention to detail, you will readily prevent errors and provide recommendations for financial process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform end-of-period tasks in the preparation of financial reporting to management.
* Distribution of monthly financial reports, revenue and expense accruals, margin analysis by revenue stream/client/project, contractor payment audits, and other submissions requested by FRV finance and management.
* Provide recommendations to enhance financial and operational performance.
* Assist with annual budget preparation and prepare audit documentation requirements.
