* Location: Petrie - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.
Maintain the community's park infrastructure as part of our Parks Infrastructure team. Working alongside an experienced Crew Leader, you'll play a hands on role in the operational maintenance of Council's recreational assets. Your day to day work will involve general labouring duties to ensure your allocated parks and infrastructure remain safe, functional and well-presented.
You'll help maintain a wide range of assets, including:
* Playgrounds
* Park furniture
* Concrete areas
* Shade sails
* Fences
* Retaining walls
This is a practical, outdoor role offering plenty of variety and the satisfaction of seeing the immediate impact of your work. You'll also interact with other Council teams and occasionally members of the public, so strong communication skills and a positive, team focused attitude are essential. Your efforts will directly support the quality and safety of our community's recreational spaces.
You're someone who enjoys hands on work, takes pride in maintaining community spaces and brings a strong commitment to working safely and effectively. Ideally, you have recent experience performing labouring tasks and maintaining infrastructure similar to the assets listed above.
We're looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
* The physical capability and practical knowledge required to perform manual tasks safely
* Recent experience in a labouring or outdoor maintenance role
* Experience maintaining similar infrastructure or performing comparable tasks (highly desirable)
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
To be successful in this role, you must also have:
* A current MR (Medium Rigid) truck licence or higher
* A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
