About the position
Our City Operations Portfolio located at Golden Grove, has undergone exciting changes to its structure and services, so we can continue to provide the best support to our community. To support our commitment, an exciting opportunity exists to join our Field Services team. Reporting to the Team Leader Civil Maintenance, this position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of programmed and reactive civil maintenance works across roads, parks, and footpaths within the City of Tea Tree Gully, in line with Maintenance Service Levels.
The role has a key focus on leading and supporting asphalt works and unsealed footpath construction, maintenance, and repair activities. The Leading Worker Civil Maintenance provides onsite supervision, coordinates day to day operational tasks, and works alongside Field Officers and supporting non payroll personnel to deliver high quality outcomes for the community.
Key responsibilities are:
* Comply with Work Health and Safety requirements and relevant standards, ensure assigned work is completed on schedule and job details are recorded accurately.
* Comply with all relevant organisational codes, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and legislation.
* Liaising with the community regarding programmed or reactive works to inform and address impacts and concerns, as key site contact.
* Collaborate with Council's internal network and systems to scope and consider factors influencing upcoming works delivery.
* Demonstrate Council's Values and behaviours when interacting with others and in delivering the outcomes of this role.
You will be rostered on a 9-day fortnight schedule, optimising your work time while offering flexibility.

* Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) / Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM)
* HR Licence or willingness to obtain
* Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
* Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and police check.
