About the Role – Be a Part of This Success Story!
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for someone with a basic understanding of technical writing and documentation, who is either undertaking university studies in a related field or is easing back into the workforce. You will publish pages in GitBook and implement processes and configuration procedures working with IDE and CI/CD tools, including GitLab and customer repositories in Azure. A key focus of this role will be migrating internal content from Confluence / Atlassian to GitBook, ensuring the site is well-structured and aligns with both internal and customer-facing repositories, as well as supporting our compliance processes including our next IRAP assessment.

This role will see you working with our infrastructure and development teams as well as our Product Managers, Sales Leads, and company founders. Key responsibilities will include:
* Migration of content to GitBook, ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Structuring and organising GitBook repositories and content to align with internal and customer repositories
* Collaboration with development and product teams to gather and document technical information
* Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation that meets our organisational standards
* Ensuring customer views are tailored to include both generic and customised code
* Working with IDE and CI/CD tools, including Git and Azure repositories
* Review and edit of content created by other team members to ensure clarity and consistency
* Provision of regular updates on documentation progress and status
About You
Essential skills and experience
* Basic experience reviewing Technical Documents – preferably in a IT security or software development environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Familiarity with structuring documentation for both internal and customer-facing purposes
* Experience creating content in Confluence or GitBook
* Must be an Australian citizen
Desirable skills and experience – real-world experience transferable beyond the classroom
* Knowledge of best practices in technical writing and documentation
* Cloud documentation experience with AWS / Azure
* Familiarity with IDE and CI/CD tools such as Git and Azure
* Ability to understand and document complex technical concepts
* IRAP documentation experience
* Commencement of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent experience.
