Overview
About This Opportunity: This is a 12‐month fixed‐term position as a Library Services Officer supporting students and academics. You will help deliver high‐quality library services and enhance the library experience for the UQ community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‐quality advice and support on library resources, systems and services.
* Respond to client enquiries and resolve issues, including basic IT support, with escalation where required.
* Support and mentor colleagues, coordinate workflows and assist with small projects.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, procedural documentation and service enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience
* A relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience with a strong record of service delivery.
* Proven ability to deliver high‐quality results with attention to detail and ownership of tasks.
* Strong digital and technology skills, including familiarity with library systems and software applications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear expression.
* Collaborative and adaptable team player, thriving in changing environments and supporting team goals.
* Proactive, self‐motivated and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Other Requirements
Evening, weekend and roster work will be required. The University of Queensland Library reserves the right to transfer staff to any of its services. Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre‐employment checks (right to work in Australia, qualifications and criminal history check; checks relating to gender‐based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements).
