High Level General Surgical Care Specialist
The role of High Level General Surgical Care Specialist will involve delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals within the approved scope of clinical practice. As a valued member of the Surgical & Perioperative Division, you will be responsible for providing supervised general surgical care services and participating in on-call arrangements under the guidance of experienced surgeons.
Our team manages all aspects of General Surgery, including Elective, Acute, and Trauma components. You will be part of a collaborative environment that prioritizes assessment, treatment, and direct responsibility for Emergency Department surgical patients.
We are seeking skilled professionals who meet the following requirements:
* A registered Medical Practitioner with recognized Fellowship and Specialist level registration.
* Successful completion of the General Surgical Fellowship examination and required training time in the General Surgical SET program (exceptions may be made for candidates planning to sit the exam within 6 months).
* Eligibility for Fellowship to RACS is desirable.
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
* Ability to work effectively with medical and other healthcare colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication skills with patients, families, medical, and non-medical colleagues.
* Commitment to regional healthcare and providing high-quality surgical care in rural Australia.
