Systems Engineer - Test and Evaluation
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in the role of Test and Evaluation.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact in the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
The successful candidate will have the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative work environment.
About the Role:
* Developing test strategies, master plans, and coordinating test programs across a range of Aerospace projects.
* Leading teams, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Advocating for test functions within projects and governing test activities.
* Engaging with stakeholders to identify requirements and planning tests to gather necessary data.
* Analysing test data, evaluating system performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
* Analysing test results and providing technical feedback and recommendations to stakeholders.
* Supporting the growth of Nova's test capability.
* Ensuring compliance with Defence standards and requirements, including safety and risk management protocols.
* Engaging in stakeholder management and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
* Supporting client projects and providing consultancy advice in a project setting.
What we would like from you:
* Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain an NV1 AGSVA Security clearance.
* A formal test qualification with at least 5 years of relevant test experience.
* An ability to act as Test Director when required.
* Deep understanding of test methodologies and tools including test planning, analysis, and reporting.
* Strong understanding of systems engineering practices.
* Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee test activities, ensuring they align with project timelines and budgets.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report test results, collaborate with stakeholders, and present findings.
* Experience in Defence test / V&V projects.
* Experience in Defence procurement processes and lifecycle management.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
